The Office of the Dean of Students exists to assist students with any questions about the University. The Office's purpose is to create a climate that promotes the personal and intellectual development of students by offering both support and challenge. The office will handle complaints about students who violate the Student Conduct Code.

A University Ombudsperson is an independent neutral third party who assist students, faculty, staff and administrators resolve grievances and complaints through informal means: counseling, negotiation and mediation.

The mission of the Financial Aid Office is to help remove financial barriers to assist students in meeting the rising cost of attendance at the institution. Emergency loans are also available to those who qualify.
Scholarship Resource Center (310) 206-2875
The Scholarship Resource Center provides one-on-one counseling, by appointment, to help UCLA students find scholarships, request applications, draft personal statements, proofread applications, or answer any questions. The Scholarship Resource Center also provides scholarship writing support and access to typewriters for scholarship purposes. They center is open Monday through Friday from 11am – 6pm during the regular academic year and is open from 12-5 pm during the summer.

The UCLA Center for the Study of Women is a nationally recognized center for research on women and gender. Established in 1984, it is the only unit of its kind in the University of California system, and it draws on the energies of 245 faculty from 10 UCLA professional schools and 34 departments.

The UCLA Women's Studies Undergraduate Program, established in 1975, is an interdisciplinary academic program spanning many departments and disciplines. The Department offers a major and a minor, as well as, graduate programs to educate teachers, researchers and professionals in the interdisciplinary field of Women's Studies.

The UCLA Ashe Center is geared to the special health needs of students. They offer care in three basic clinical areas: Primary Care Clinic, Specialty Clinics (including Men's Clinic), and Women's Health Service. Pharmacy, laboratory, nutrition, physical therapy and many other services are also offered.

The Health Education and Outreach Services offers workshops and academic courses to help students deal with challenging transitional issues they may face during their college years, such as coping with stress, managing emotions, problem-solving, and developing social & cultural competence. Student Legal Services (SLgS) provides legal counseling and assistance regarding a wide range of legal issues to all currently registered and enrolled UCLA students. SLgS is able to help students with a variety of problems, including: landlord/tenant relations; accident and injury problems; domestic violence and harassment; criminal matters; divorces and other family law matters; automobile purchase, repair, and insurance problems; health care, credit, and financial aid issues; and consumer problems. SLgS also frequently assists students with problems they have with other UCLA departments in such areas as housing, financial aid, harassment, discrimination, ADA compliance, student discipline, and faculty misconduct.

Community Service Officer (CSO) Escort (310) 794-WALK
Escorts are available free of charge to walk with students, faculty, staff, or visitors 365 days a year from dusk until 1:00 am between campus buildings, local living areas, or Westwood Village within the approximate boundaries of Sunset Boulevard to the north, Hilgard to the east, Wilshire to the South, and Veteran to the west.
Evening Van Service (310) 825-9800
The Evening Van Service provides a safe means of transportation around campus during the evening hours. The vans provide transportation between campus buildings, on-campus housing, and nearby residential areas. The service is free of charge and available to all UCLA students, staff, faculty, and visitors. The Evening Van Service is only available during the academic school year.
Waiting time varies from 15 to 25 minutes and runs from Monday through Thursday from 6-11 pm.
Safety and Security Education Committee The On-Campus Housing Safety and Security Education Committee raises awareness around many safety issues, including, but not limited to, fire prevention, earthquake preparedness, access control, personal protection, and sexual violence. The committee offers educational programs, activities and literature as well as responds to community concerns.

Bruin Belles Service Association Bruin Belles Service Association is an official UCLA philanthropic organization dedicated to community and university service, and to the promotion of women's leadership. BBSA is a non-partisan, non-religious organization.

The Center for Student Programming (CSP) provides a centralized location for the dissemination of information on campus organizations and opportunities for students to become involved. CSP provides registration, advising and counseling to all student groups on campus. The Bruin Leaders Project (BLP), Spirit Squad, and Rally Committee, as well as both student governments—Undergraduate Students Association Council and the Graduate Students Association—are also advised out of CSP.

The Office of Residential Life is a student affairs office within on-campus housing. Residential Life Staff (comprised of approximately 30 full-time staff, 230 student staff and 13 Faculty in the residence) are responsible for counseling, advising, programming, room assignments, conduct, discipline, emergency responses, computer labs and student computing education.
