You have done the right thing by seeking help. Reading this website is
a good beginning. If you have been sexually assaulted there are supportive
people who can help you both on-campus and off-campus.
It is important for you to have a medical exam even if you think that you don't have physical injuries. UCLA students, staff and faculty are encouraged to go to the Rape Treatment Center at the Santa Monica - UCLA Medical Center. There is 24 hour medical care and forensic evidence collection that is free of charge for survivors of sexual assault. For more information please go to the Rape Treatment Center's website or call 310-319-4000. It is also important for you talk to someone who is supportive and has been trained to help you. The Rape Treatment Center and The Center for Women & Men have counselors who are available to provide confidential counseling, advocacy and referrals (please link to Consultation and Referral).
